I am get ctds but more computer auto-reboots from Just EVE not any other game that I've played. The issue started happening in 1 of the last patches.
Most of the crashes or reboots are due to having 2 clients open. But I'm getting them AS WELL with just 1 client open (crashed when i had firefox open). And I play in WINDOW MODE with cache size set to normal
NOTE: CTDS and well mostly Computer auto-reboots are happening when i am mining.

it was factory overclocked anyway look in your EVENT LOG are you getting any EVENT ID: 3013 errors every time before it crashes in the log ___________________

That's happening to me too. Started happening after Quantum Rise was released. I also updated my drivers around that time so I'm not sure which is the problem. I'm thinking EVE is having a problem with the new drivers. Running a ATI X1550 video card on XP.
So far this problem hasn't happend when running premium graphics, though the graphics processor or whatever stops responding to commands and has to be reset. Before posting this it happend when I was logging in
its happend both in prem graphics and classic ___________________

Yes, the xps 720 h2c is factory overclocked. i downclocked it manually cause i dont need the performance for the time beeing... and no i dont get any eventlogs at all. not when the system reboots and not when it freezes :-(
you should at-least get the following event log
Error*date* *time*EventLog6008None
Log Name: System Source: EventLog Date: *date* *time* Event ID: 6008 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: *computer name* Description: The previous system shutdown at *time* on *date* was unexpected. If you can't find the event viewer here is the instruction on how to:
FOR VISTA
- click the windows button (vista equivalent to the start button)
- at the very bottom (in the white box) type in EVENT VIEWER
- Click on EVENT VIEWER
- Click on the arrow next to Windows Logs
- Click System
- Scroll down til you see the ABOVE Error (now its gonna be further down then you expect it because alot of things happen during the reboot)
for short its gonna say: The previous system shutdown at *time* on *date* was unexpected. ___________________

Did you by chance install any of the latest drivers from nvidia, including any betas? And also, do you play Eve Online with AA or HDR (or both)? And lastly, have you ever used a program called nHancer?
Your answers to these questions will help me get a better understanding of your situation and whether or not I can help you find a solution.

yes to all questions
Ok right off the bat I can tell you that the blue screen system crashes (BSOD) are due to Nvidia's implementation of Ageia PhysX on Nvidia-based cards 8-series and up. Now the implemenation isn't a bad thing, but there's a significant flaw in the latest driver packages that Nvidia is releasing that affects a lot of users, including myself, but I'll tell you what to do and how I solved the BSOD and Eve crashes.
Ok first of all, do not load the Nvidia Control Panel, this caused my system to blue screen on beta Forceware 180.60 and 180.84 drivers because of stupid mistakes I made when installing the drivers. I was trying to install the drivers without PhysX because up until then I did not want any sign of PhysX on my system since the games I play don't utilize PhysX. The mistake was that the PhysX drivers were already on my system from older Nvidia WHQL releases. Basically I was now running the driver with PhysX, but with missing parts (and I didn't know this for some time, hence numerous BSODs).
What I did, and what you should do now, is first rollback or reinstall the WHQL Forceware 180.48 drivers, then restart the computer. Once you're back in Windows, do not open the Nvidia Control Panel, but instead go to the following website to download the latest PhysX drivers. The PhysX drivers that come with Forceware 180.48 are outdated, and it's this mistake by Nvidia that is causing people like you and me these sorts of issues.
http://downloads.guru3d.com/PhysX-System-Software-v8.10.29-download-2137.html
Updating the PhysX drivers should make the blue screens of death go away. I can't remember whether or not the updater asks you to restart, but if it does, do it.
- Ian
just so you know im not getting a BSOD and never was, my computer just reboots

No I haven't. What's it useful for? Will it allow me to use those higher-quality AA settings, like supersampling and combined, without getting distorted looking text?
- Ian
no it dont do that, but i know why your getting distorted text, adjust your LOD settings in nHancer i had that problem in other games and manualy adjusting the lod settigns in combination of ingame settings helped it
But i normally just click "enhance ingame AA settings" and u need to play in fullscreen mode (no not eve-mons fullscreen-window mode combo solution) im talking about the real fullscreen mode, to get the AA to work + add 0xf0000045 in the compatibility tab for AA Compat
and then you need to click "profile can be activated manually" and go in tools > activate profile > EVE ___________________

event viewer in german = problemberichte? i have some event logs there... but none of them are related to my eve crashes or reboots...or am i looking in the wrong direction due to a translation error?
im just saying that u WILL have that error every time ur system reboots like that because its basicaly telling you that your computer rebooted in a unusual way
the whole point of event viewer is to find out what could bne the cause of problems ___________________

Ok, now I want you to go in your Nvidia Control Panel and turn off GPU PhysX Acceleration. Then I want you to go into nHancer, find your Eve Online profile, and un-check mark "Profile can be activated manually". Next, restore the default global profile and then activate Driver Defaults within nHancer. Now go back to the Eve Online profile and set the SLI mode to single, go to the Compatibility tab and un-check mark all overrides, go to the Optimizations tab and un-check mark all overrides, and then under Enhancements un-check mark all overrides except for Anti-Aliasing. Set the AA mode to 16x Multisampling, turn off transparency AA, turn on gamma correction, and then un-check mark "enhance in-game AA setting" if it's check marked.
This will give you a very bare bones gfx profile for Eve that should prevent any driver issues from rebooting your computer when you play Eve. You say that you manually activate the Eve profile. Well, for all intents and purposes, don't do that EVER. It doesn't work in the same way that the built-in task schedulers within the Nvidia Control Panel and programs like RivaTuner do it. Keep in mind that the latest version of nHancer wasn't built and tested for Forceware 180 and that there are inherent compatibility issues precisely because of this. Just stay away from manual profile activation until you find a solution to the reboots.
- Ian
YOU DO KNOW that in order to set EVE SLI Mode to single i MUST Check overide pre-defind settings or elce it dose not let me do it
and that the 0xf0000045 fixes the AA HDR problems with EVE as seen in 1 of the previus threads which i dont feel like finding atm.
AND THAT i had these settings with nHANCER that i have set right now, (before doing what u told me to do) set before quantium rise and did not have there reboots at all so i doupt its any thing graphic drivers or nhancer related its just ccp****ed up on there files and its ****ign op the os with simuler modle motherboards
EVERYBODY THAT IS HAVVING THIS ISSUE WHAT ARE YOUR MOTHERBOARDS
mines = nForce 680i SLI
and 16 AA is a very very bad choice to set eve on eve should run at a maximum of Combined 8xSQ (i never had the text issue ur having with eve, only with second life) AND I also cannot play eve without the "Enhanced ingame AA Setting" checked iwith 16x multi and or that option unchecked eve lags like hell and goes in to like single diget FPS

If your machine reboots or blue screens, it's not a user level application like eve. It simply isn't possible in Windows 2k/XP/Vista.
You have a driver issue or failing hardware, nothing more nothing less.
CTD is different of course, but is still likely a driver issue.
BUT IT only happens with EVE and not with the other 30 or so games i play 1 involving crysis warhead max settings ethueast setting and no crash or ctds in them at all ___________________

YES IT IS HOLDING Great
Everyone Turn off SLI For EVE ONLY for now intill CCP fixes this issue First just try the SLI mode to SINGLE if it still reboots after that then try the other steps in the QUOTES in the above message
